Milan Get Their Revenge

The luck that was with Liverpool in 2005 obviously ran out on them last night. I watched the Champions League Final in a little bar called Bobo’s in Dalian city centre in the wee hours of this morning. I decided to head into the city centre at 3am rather than watch the game at home cos these things (Liverpool in the Champions League Final) don’t happen too often. Actually, it was like a little bit of home away from home in Bobo’s. Most of the fans were foreigners and it was just like watching the match in a pub in Ireland, with the cheers, singing and smart-arse comments from the supporters.

Shame that Liverpool lacked anything up front, cos they had enough chances to win the match. They should have punished Milan while in control of the game, but in typical Liverpool fashion, they didn’t! Aside from that, I felt that Liverpool were the better team and were not intimidated by Milan; maybe it was the other way around with Milan making a lot of mistakes defensively.

Hopefully Rafa will buy a few decent strikers for next season and we can have another crack at it! Liverpool definitely had luck on their side last time, so maybe it was karma that Milan should win this time!
